Simlr (the "Company") is committed to maintaining robust privacy protections for its users. Our Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect, use and safeguard the information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our Service.
By downloading or using Simlr you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.
For purposes of this Agreement, "Service" refers to the Company's service which can be accessed via our mobile application "Simlr". The terms "we," "us", and "our" refer to the Company. "You" refers to you, as a user of Service.
If you are under the age of 13, you may not download or use Simlr. We do not knowingly collect or maintain information from children under age 13. If you are between the ages of 13 and 16, you must get your parent or guardian to read and agree to our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.
1. What This Privacy Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy describes how our mobile applications collect, store, use, and share your personal information. It also describes how you can control and protect your privacy on our Service.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that we do not own or control.
2. Controlling and Protecting Your Privacy
Personal Safety:
After getting to know someone online, you may want to meet him or her in-person. If so, be careful and use common sense. Never meet someone in private for the first time; choose a public place, and consider taking a friend.
Account Settings:
You can change your account settings at any time, including your visibility to other users.
Deleting Your Account:
You can delete your Account at any time by going to your profile page when you are logged into the mobile app and tapping ‘Delete account’. Your Account will be deactivated immediately but it may take a little while for Your Content (defined below) to be completely removed from the App. We will save your profile information in case you decide to restore your Account (which you can do within 30 days of deactivating your Account). If you delete your Account and try to create a new account within this time period using the same credentials, we will re-activate your Account for you. We reserve the right at our sole discretion to terminate or suspend any Account, or make use of any operational, technological, legal or other means available to enforce the Terms (including without limitation blocking specific IP addresses), at any time without liability and without the need to give you prior notice.
Password:
Store your password in a safe place, and do not share it with anyone. If you think someone has your password, you should change it immediately.
Posting Information:
Posting personal information on your public profile on Simlr, including “About me” will make it publicly available. The messages you send to other users may in turn be shared by them with others. Do not post or send information that you want to keep private.
Third Parties:
We are not responsible for (and don’t have any control over) the privacy policies of third party websites, apps and services. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of each and every website and app you visit.
3. Information We Collect
We collect different types of personal information about you and your activities. We collect personal information when you register, log into, and use our Service, including the features you use, the pages and screens you visit, and the information you enter. The specific examples in the following sections are not meant to be exhaustive.
Email Address:
We may require a valid email address to register for our Service. This email will be stored in our servers while you have an account with our Services. We may use this email address to contact you regarding your account and your interaction with our Service.
Profile Information You Provide:
We collect the personal information that you provide to create your profile on our Service, including name, about me, interested topics and languages.
Automatically Collected Device Information:
We receive and record information from your device, including device identification and IP addresses.

Third Party Platform Registration (e.g. Google Play):

For example, if you create your account on our Service using Google, we may use your user ID from Google to establish your account. In addition, in the course of providing our Service on third party platforms, such as Apple App Store or Google Play Store, the platforms may collect information about you or receive information from us in order for that platform to provide and analyze their services. Please note that these platforms are developed and administered by people or companies not affiliated with us or any of our Services and that we are not responsible for the actions of those people or companies.
